The PASEO 2021 Festival
Internship Program

Hands-on Experiences

The Paseo Project hired three interns for a ten-week (July 12 - September 24), paid position in the summer of 2022. The internship was open to northern New Mexicans aged 16 - 25.

This year’s program offered workshops, mentorship and training centered around the production of the PASEO Festival. Candidates identified an interest area (e.g. event production, technical production, community engagement, new media arts); and the positions were tailored to the intern’s area(s) of focus.

With the PASEO Festival internship, Taos-youth gained hands-on experience by contributing to event preparation, execution, and wrap-up.

Responsibilities included:

• Support Paseo staff in planning and executing the PASEO Festival

• Self directed learning of applicable skills

• Assist with management of artists

• Help develop Festival technical plan and/or Festival organizational plan

• Support with communications and social media

• Help install, run, and deinstall the (abbreviated) 2021 PASEO Festival!
